About project

COMENIUS PROJECT 2011-2013

Project title: “The life near the rivers in Europe”

"The life near the rivers in Europe" is an imaginative, cross-curricular, collaborative project with the aim of developing knowledge, communication, respect, cooperation between pupils and teachers in Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Latvia and Spain.

The main topic of our partnership is the life near the rivers. To achieve knowledge about this topic we will work topics as: water as a limited resource, water contamination, flora and fauna, boats, water sports, rivers vocabulary in different languages, art activities, traditions, statistics, songs, lengends among others.

This project will provide the children with a different prespective of the culture and living environments of other countries.

We try to work in a stimulating, motivating and enjoyable way using the activities that we already do in the school about this topic and introducing new activities. We will adapt these activities to our pupils different levels and learning styles.

Comenius Projects have the aim to reinforce the European dimension of education, promoting cooperation activities between schools in Europe. Comenius Projects offer to teachers and pupils from different European countries the opportunity to work together about one or more topics in which they are all interested.

Thanks to our participation in that project we could improve our competences in the main topic of the project (Rivers) and we could have the opportunity to improve our ability to work in teams, to improve our social relationships, to improve our ICT ability, our communicative competence, our ability to solve problems, the development of critic thought, creativity, etc.
