Italian students create art works

Students from Belaso Infant School in Italy have created a big ticket to say goodbye to everyone who participated in the project meeting in Italy in October.

Other students have just started to create their personal ID (they write about their likes and dislikes, draw themselves etc.)

We learn how to save water and energy

In Sweden students had to do homework about saving water.

Here is Henrik´s homework, he is ten years old. His homework was to write a diary for three days. I send you only his first day. After his three days, he has to answer some questions, you can see it below.

Tuesday 25/10

Morningtoilet
Flushed one time
Washed my face
Brushed my teeth

Breakfast
One glass of water
Washed my hands

School
three glasses of water
Washed my hands

After school activities
Flushed one time
One glass of water

Dinner
Washed my hands

Bedtime
Brushed my teeth
Flushed once

Totally: 24,3 litres

Q&A

1. What can you do to reduce your water consumption? Why is it important to reduce our water consumption?

Not wasting the water and let it run for so long. I can drink milk instead. (;-D)
It is important for the environment and it costs money to clean the water.

2. How much water do you think you need during one day?

ca 3 litres of water, I think

3. In a year you drink five times your own body weight. How many glasses are there in one year. One glass is two decillitres.
My weight is 40 kilos.

40 X 5 = 2000 kg

2000 = 1000 glasses.

Writing the letters

In October every country had to prepare letters exchange with other countries.
Here are some photos from Italy:

Some photos from Spain:

Students also write letters in English in Portugal however they don't learn English in Primary level:

Drawing the logos

One of the activities was to draw a logo for our project. In every country students were trying to find the best idea of how does the logo should look like.
The winner logo is designed by Italian students and you can see how does it look like:

Of course it is also interesting to have a look how the process was organized and how well the students worked. Here you can see photos from Italy:
